Documenting our Progress

There are so many good reasons to keep an art gallery of student work. It’s a great way to record progress and there’s potential to have students reflect to a wider audience on their work.

This year I’ve achieved my goal of posting all work. In previous years I have forgotten or gotten behind, so that I don’t have a complete picture. As of my writing this post, all work that has been turned in this year has been posted. I’m feeling a sense of accomplishment, as well as pride in my students’ growth!

Next steps, next year, I plan to have students create their OWN gallery and reflect on their work on an ongoing basis. My model will be the work done by Ian Sands at Melissa Purtee at The Art of Apex and http://apexhsart.blogspot.ca/ . I’ll write more about their work in another post.
